Overview

The Eagle NX Leg Press is the selectorized leg press from Cybex's current commercial strength range. Members choose their load with the selector pin rather than loading plates, which keeps the leg area tidy and makes the machine approachable for every level of member.

As with any selectorized leg press, the weight stack, cable and carriage matter most. We test the full range of motion at light and heavy settings and inspect the seat and back pads.

What we check on selectorized machines

  • Frame and welds: no cracks, bends or rust at the joints
  • Weight stack: plates flat and uncracked; the selector pin seats fully at every plate
  • Guide rods: straight, clean and lubricated, with smooth plate travel
  • Cable or belt: no fraying, kinks or flat spots along its length or at the terminations
  • Pulleys and bearings: spin freely and quietly with no wobble
  • Adjustments: seat, pads and range-of-motion settings lock positively at every position
  • Upholstery: no tears; foam not collapsed; stitching sound
  • Full range of motion tested at light and heavy settings
