Nautilus
Nautilus grew out of Arthur Jones's machines, the first of which, the Nautilus pullover, went on sale in 1970. Jones's cam-based machines and his ideas about brief, intense training shaped how gyms were equipped for decades.
Commercial Nautilus strength equipment is now made by Core Health & Fitness. Current lines include Leverage plate-loaded machines, and earlier selectorized lines such as Nitro and Impact remain common on the pre-owned market.
