Overview

In a belt squat the load hangs from a belt around the hips instead of resting on the shoulders. Members can train squats, lunges and other lower-body patterns hard without compressing the spine, which makes the machine valuable for lifters managing back fatigue and for athletic programmes.

Plates load onto a lever arm, so the machine has no cables or weight stack. On a pre-owned unit we inspect the lever pivot, the belt and its attachment hardware, and the standing platform.
